Hi stretch-mates,

Has anyone experience with the Stretch a Flex product
http://www.stretchaflex.com/.
Is it save to stretch with this device?
It looks dangerous for the knee joints or ankles. (Side Split Stretch)
What is your experience or impression of this stretching aid?

Thanks in advice
Mike

Bet you could by the equivalent kit and assemble it yourself from B & Q or similar for a lot less than 40 quid. Thought of that?

You are true :-)
But what do you think about stretching safety?
Does it look safe, or will there be much pressure on knees and ankle.

looks like yet another gimmick to me.

Oddly enough, I was sent one of these by the creator to review. Still putting it through its paces. Will post a link to the review when it's done.

THX, for reply I already order one :-).
Last training session I tried to simulate how it can be using this tool.
I used a rope instead and tried the sitting side-split stretch supported by this rope with two loops for the feet.
I thought that there would be pressure on the knee joints (like using some cheap split stretching machines) but it was not.
It was really good feeling, so I´am really looking forward to get this tool.
I also checked on you tube the dynamic stretches supported by the stretchaflex tool.
It looks very interesting.

Regards
Mike

I won't comment on dynamic stretches with this product until I've tried those exercises, but I suppose the strict definition would be "assisted dynamic stretches." Certainly presents a unique perspective. I'm interested to see how well using the Stretchaflex facilitates isometric stretches, particularly the side split, as my recent hip surgery prevents me from doing my usual "toes forward" versions.
