Hi ppl!
I know this question may have been asked, before
but id like to know where the dojos are in the northwest?
I have searched the internet, and found two one in manchester
and one in blackpool. But these are too far away as i live on the
outskirts of manchester....ive worked out the cost of getting
there and lets just say its not cheap.
I really want to learn and train, so there must be some closer
dojos, im situated in the Wigan area..of Lancashire, England.
if anyone can help thanks...
p.s. can anyone give me any websites with free e-books on
ninjutsu....i would be extremely greatfull
(Im a student you see.....a very poor one at that)

Howdy.
Have you looked at this (http://www.bujinkanbritain.org/) link? You might be able to find something closer to you. After a quick Google, I also came up with this (http://www.bujinkanmanchester.co.uk/)
Let me know how you get on!
All the best,

Not to sound like a jerk, hi by the way, but you don't need to learn any special art to be shinobi, you should be conditioned in one at least though, like Chinese wushu (Gung Fu), or maybe karate. Just remember though that Ninjutsu isn't a seperate art, it has many Taijutsu(way of the body) itegrated into it. But don't be fooled to learn what many people would like to consider true "Ninjutsu", there is no true way, except to outsmart the opponent, but if you go to that dojo, train it anyway, because an art is an art to learn no matter the name. In the words of Bruce Lee,"...if others claim to know the 'true form' of it, let it be. After all what is in a name?"

How about contacting the dojo in Manchester, and asking if any of the people training there live close to you? You can carpool, help with gas (would be cheaper than a taxi or bus). Also, there may be a shibu (chapter or training group) in your area. They don't usually advertise, but word of mouth will get you introductions.
Best of luck!

Thanks for the help of every one, ill let you know how i get on,
in a day or two, im going to the class this weekend anyways to see what its like.
I appreciate the advice from AnomalousNIN, but believe me
havent the slightest intention of practicing ninjitsu, with a view
of trying to become a "Shinobi".
Id like to practice because i wish to achieve three goals:
Self defence for myself and others
To satisfy and complete my own personal goals
to achieve discipline
I looked at kung fu, and gung fu, but the styles didnt suit me, but with ninjitsu, the training matches my interests, which since childhood have been survival techniques for some reason.
training such as shelter building and water purification appeal to me as well as self defence and weapon training.
Thanks to everyone again for the help and advice.

Well you're most likely not gunna find shelter stuff in a ninpo dojo although the U.S. Air Force Search and Resque book has a lot of it. Good luck with your training
