Where do most of you guys buy gis from, have you got a local martial arts store or do you get them online or from your club coach.
I am just interested also does anyone know of a good MA store in the Edinburgh area.

Your instructor can usually get you a cheap beginners gi with their club discount.
If you want something more top of the range then see below for a couple of Scottish based companies that do mail order. You'll need to know your size first though.
Danrho judogis (Judo Scotland approved supplier)

Matsuru and Kusakura judogis

For other general makes (addidas, playwell, blitz etc) there is an earlier thread on gis
http://www.martialartsplanet.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6958
See that or do a web search.

What would you guys recommend as the best company to get a new one from, i have got a basic DanRho one just now but am increasingly finding it far too lightweight.
I had a look at the Tagoya site www.tagoya.com there Gis seem nice has anyone ordered from them before and now how it would working ordering them from spain for delivery here, or is it not worth the import tax aggro.
Are they any good as well.
