Hey Evaeybody I know I posted before but I really haven't had the chance to introduce myself. I started taking Tae kown doe about 6 years ago. I stopped when my teacher decided to quit. I started taking Tae Kwon do about 6 months ago I had to start all over again. the class i am taking is a little bit different then my other class. it's a mixture of Chung Do Kwang and Tang Soo do .it's mostly Self defense which is a good thing

Sice starting again I am more flexable and have more disipline. I just got my Yellow belt about 3 months ago and am working on my Green belt.

I look forward to hearing from everybody

Hey Sillykicker

what do you think is the most important thing

about Tae Kwon Do? I think that it's the Self disipline and self

defense. do you think it's better to take Tae Kwon Do as a sport

or for Self Defense

Welcome to MAP Walmartfreak
(I kinda like that store myself ... ;) )

There are several threads in the TKD forum that take into account those very same questions you ask... some train in "sport" TKD and others in traditional style that focus more on the self defense merits of the style.... wherein there are schools that incorporate both.... and whose to say one is better than the other or that a either one cannot compete or defend themselves successfully.
