Ive been doing internal MA for the last 3 years, but want to start focusing on strength, speed & endurance for my MA using some new to i just bought which are TRX, kettlebells, the Tower 200 resistant band gym & body weight calisthenics.
All this tool will compliment my training. I think interval training is the way to go, what do you guys think?
I though i would do a 3 day per week program, changing the types of exercise i do each week and the way i do them (TRX,KBs,Tower200,Calisthenics).
I was thinking of start at 3 different exercise per workout.
example of week 1:
monday- 3 sets of 30/30 intervals doing a TRX exercise
3 sets of 30/30 intervals doing KB exercise
3 sets of 30/30 intervals doing a Tower 200 exercise
wednesday and friday-
same a above but different exercises and different order
maybe KB first,Tower200 and TRX last
each week i was thinking to change the routine up and do things different.
example of week 2:
monday- 3 sets of 30/30 intervals doing a TRX exercise
3 sets of 30/30 intervals doing TRX exercise
3 sets of 30/30 intervals doing a TRX exercise
wednesday- 3 sets of 30/30 intervals doing a KBs exercise
3 sets of 30/30 intervals doing KB exercise
3 sets of 30/30 intervals doing a KBs exercise
friday- 3 sets of 30/30 intervals doing a Tower 200 exercise
3 sets of 30/30 intervals doing Tower 200 exercise
3 sets of 30/30 intervals doing a Tower 200 exercise
then week 3 go back to week 1 program but change the exercises and order of equipment.
Do you think this routine will work?? Because you are doing the same exercises bout in different orders and on different equipment and changing it up each week. never the same order?
Also i dont know much about interval training someone told me, when starting a interval training program you should start out with 30/30. which is 30 second activity & 30 seconds rest this is one set.
As you progress and get stronger after a few months you can up the rest time or is it lower the rest/workout time 40/40, 30/60. not to sure on this.
Does anyone have info about this type of training not the exercises just how to structure it and interval training ??
