I just thought that I should point out that Rennis Buchner, a long-term resident of Japan and practitioner of Hoki-ryu, has recently published an in-depth review of Serge Mol's latest book: Classical Swordsmanship of Japan: A Comprehensive Guide to Kenjutsu and Iaijutsu.

Rennis has gone to great lengths to write a balanced review and clearly shows what an enormous amount of research is needed when writing about the koryu bujutsu schools in Japan.

I hope you find the review as informative as I did.
