hello everyone
i was just wondering, does BJJ have a lot of standing grappling techniques, or is the whole thing ground based?
cheers

Mostly ground, but yes it does involve standup work. How much depends on who's teaching.
Remember, it has its origins in Judo.

I'm in my early thirties, lift weights somewhat regularly, and wrestled in high school.
I'm thinking of taking up Brazilian Jiujitsu, but I'm wondering if maybe I'm past my grappling prime. Any advice?

Certainly not past your prime. Grappling is more technique-based than strength-based anyway.

Here are some BJJ-Techniques.. You will see that most are on the ground, but you will also find some standing techniques, and takedowns... :D
