The Rhetoric of Conjecture, Empirical, Rumor, and Martial Arts
As within subjects or words, there can be many definitions or positions, which may not lead to a single conclusion. Words, for example Conjecture, Empirical, Rumor, and Rhetoric are within this deliberation. These words can have relevance along numerous subjects within martial arts. The very same manner, which martial arts and philosophy appear to be amalgamated.
Upon one archetype, a conjecture is a mathematical assertion, which has been proposed as true, no matter at the time if no one can actually prove or disprove. A conjecture may also be considered as a hypothesis.
If one is to use a conjecture, it may also be referred to as a hypothesis that remains to be proven, thereby, a conjecture could mean to speculate a conclusion arrived at by guesswork. Or simply to guess by stating an opinion based on deficient evidence, hearsay, or belief.
An overture of a hypothesis that something appears to be true under observation or testing; anything may later be confirmed or disproved. Likewise, anything unproven, but is presumed to be true; a guess. Therefore it is an inference based upon incomplete evidence, or a hypothesis. In short summary, a conjecture is coming from guesswork, of which is anything that may or not be possible. Per the words; “An educated guess.”
Empirical Research is research that is based on experimentation or observation, i.e. evidence. Such research is often conducted to answer a specific question or to test a hypothesis (educated guess).
Guided by practical experience and not theory relying on or derived from observation or experiment Empirical Research is research that is based on experimentation or observation, i.e. evidence. Such research is often conducted to answer a specific question or to test a hypothesis (educated guess). 1. Theory, 2. Design, 3. Evaluation 4. Implementation. It is evidence-based research aided upon by experimental studies and qualitive case studies. Empirical maybe knowing what is right and accurate/verifiable.
A rumor could be either a truthful or false representation of information.
Is rumor conjecture? If it is loose and shaky, perhaps. However, if something is rumored, as many rumors which may contain a truth, perhaps stretched, is this conjecture? A lot of rumor has truth, to a degree, though it can be easily foiled. If such truth is stretched upon a base of guesswork - conjecture.
Can a rumor or conjecture be upon an idea or belief although not implemented?
If so, is religion and belief therein, conjectured?
.
If I am told, by a reliable source, “rumored information” which makes sense, is it they or I upon conjecture? If such information or position changes, would this be upon rumor or empirical? Most, like in religion, for example, are told, and are in belief of it being so. Empirical cannot be upon religion, what is rumored, conjecture, or said correspondingly. And no matter the source. Actually, these times are ripe for revolution and angst - at the same time. The match of anything solid is only after the test that it first has some weight. That weight is a relative attribute and thin starts a slippery slide into the tank.
Rumor may present itself as conjecture as it can be said of something, and it maybe true, but the action upon it is different. Someone can say to another they had achieved something, but this is within the confines of what is deemed from acceptance. Or someone can say to another they desire to “do” something, but until such action is performed, is it all rhetorical? Rhetoric could be considered as the effective use of communication. Rhetoric could be taken within discourse.
Rhetoric is a large subject, which can be discussed entirely upon its own. Speaking of rhetorical and conjecture, what about anything or everything stated on forums? Anyone can say anything to anyone and not have to back it up. Therefore, posts on a forum or blog, are actual opinions and some of these opinions are based upon individual beliefs, although the line is thin on conjecture and empirical
The association with conjecture, empirical, and rumor has it that martial art opinions and skill should never be examined incontrovertibly. If martial arts is to be thought of as fighting ability, there could be conjecture that because someone is capable of fighting well, does this make them a certain level, per black belt in martial arts? I always maintain about such things, per as ranking isn’t the tell all of skill, and a certain rank cannot be the end result per a post or opinion. For example; I could say I am a Master Gardener (dunno why I would, but I could) and a 5th level Green Thumb and that I worked for the president in his garden. Then I tell you how to grow pumpkins. If my information to grow pumpkins makes sense, does this transition form conjecture to empirical? Then I could go on to add or say, that I actually have, a PhD in Botany, but does this limit me to giving a good tip on how to fix a computer? In short, rhetorically speaking, what would it matter, in the long run as long as the pumpkins are growing and the computer is working?
