protective gear

What is some good protective gear for a male to get. mouth guard, wrist protector/gloves? I just started kickboxing and sparring. I also need to know what is a good cup/shorts combo to use? Right I am using a hockey cup and jock and find it doesn't stay in place when doing kicks, moving etc, so its ineffective, unforntunately :(, and uncomfortable.

First off CrazyHorse have you talked to your Instructor? Chances are he can both inform you of what is the best buy and also get a trade discount (plus his bit on top).
