A guy in my city has appently created his own style.

His name is Brian Antak and he's 3rd Dan Hapkido and 5th Degree Kenpo.
From what he said he's taken the throws, joint locks and grappling of Hapkido, and combined it with some of the Self Defense techniques of Kenpo and turned it into a style called Hapjukempo.
From what I have read its also recognized and I'm quoting here:

The USKA has recognized this art as legitimate and granted him the title of SOKE.

I dont know what that means, if it means anything but as anyone heard of it?
Think its worth checking out?

Marvellous - but where does the "Ju" come from.

I think I'll start teaching Muay Kune Eskjutsu :D

Not entirely sure.
Does it sound like bullshido?

Don't take yourself too seriously is the message I guess. Good luck to the guy...

well, why not just learn them both?

I don't really understand all this combining of 2 separate arts stuff.
