I am going to put a new tool in my training , a punch bag. Can anyone give me some advice before I go looking. A leather one or one made of cloth ? Buy hand-wraps (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_wraps) or not. Buy the one which comes pre-stuffed with some material or buy an empty one and fill it with sawdust ?

I am so late in buying it because the room I have rented is very small. I am going to remove the ceiling fan and put the punch bag in there. Atmosphere is rather hot in South-India but I don't see I have a choice. Along with lots of punches and kicks, I am planning to practice crane-head, elbow-attack (from JKD) and leopard claw on punch bag.

I like the filled ones best. Get a 6 footer.

Wraps and bag gloves (both quite cheap)

For what it's worth, I've heard not to go with Everlast, because the stuff sinks to the bottom of the bag. But that's just what I've heard.

I don't know whether good brands will be available or not. I am in Hyderabad (INDIA) and its almost difficult to find most of the internationally branded equipments, but still I wanted to know if anyone got greatly admired brand names. Actually, it hurts to know that I have spent money on a brand which is around 70% of some great brand but quite cheap in quality and money is hard to earn, So thats why I wanted to know beforehand.

There is a place called Koti (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koti,_Hyderabad) in Hyderabad where you find all the sports and health and fitness tools and equipments. I will go check this Sunday.
