Hello,
I have a copy of Isshin Ryu Lineage that mentions the name Yui Masayuki as the soke prior to Tan Isshin.
Could this name indeed be the same as Harayuki Uemon Ujisada (原志右衛門氏貞)?
I was thinking perhaps Ue Harayuki could have turned into Yui Masayuki through oral transmission.
I have also seen written that Tan Isshin is a concept of unification rather than an individual, so if anyone knows anything of this then I would be most appreciative if you would share.
I look forward to your replies.
Regards,
Dao
