I've been doing sets of dynamic stretching exercises- 12 a side twice a day. The problem is, it bores me to tears! any suggestions?

Buy yourself a boxed set of DVD's of something you've always wanted to watch.
Limit yourself to watching an episode only when stretching.

Is that 12 sets or 12 reps, on each side twice a day?

They should not take so long that you get bored (15-30 minutes at most).

12 reps

Right... so that's 12 reps of leg lifts to the front, side and rear, right?

I hate to tell you this, but that probably isn't enough. You should be doing another 3-4 sets on top of that!

Unfortunately it's a case of asking yourself how badly you want the ability to display your maximum flexibility without a warm-up.

You might like to know that once you have that ability, it only takes one set per day or so to keep it.

Im about to embark on a mission to get back the flexibility i had when i got my karate blackbelt in my early teens. At the moment i can't even get close to touching my toes when cold. So that's probably the best news I've heard. Ever. lol
