The lion king is one of two Disney movies that we own (the other is 101 Dalmations) and I used to know it off-by-heat, last time I watched when we had some little kids over, I still knew most of them, and I still got teary when his father died

We have pretty much all the Disney clasics on video.
The Lion King was very good.
Lilo and Stitch is a fave with me and the kids.
I know it's not Disney - but SHREK ROCKS! :D

Hrmm, I admit I love the classics, also Aladdin and yes, for some insane reason (perhaps the animation?) I adore Tarzan; but, my number one would have to be Hunchback of Notredame...Why? Something about it not being very..er..kidsy ;) Gotta love a gypsy pole-dancing and a clergyman (?) singing (with a religious sounding Latin choir) about how the same gypsy girl is filling him with so much desire that he's turning to sin...

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Mulan! I loved that movie. It brought a tear to my eye when I watched it with the kids. That's my pick as the No. 1 Disney animation.

Finish this line, by Scar, from the lion king: "And here's my little secret,...." also, who can forget about Geogre of the Jungle? that's a good movie.

"The Jungle Book." There is no competition. This has always been my favorite movie.
But "Lion King" and "Toy Story 2" are certainly up there. And "Robin Hood" is a favorite.
I wish I could find "Song of the South" in some store or catalog.
As for Disney people movies, "Mary Poppins" wins easily in my family.

Pixar is the only thing going for disney, but sadly they are leaving Disney and going on their own. The Disney movies went fromm best to crap. :(

Disney are not making traditional hand drawn animation film anymore (Brother Bear was the last on ever). Even going as far as selling all there lightbox workstations, and closing there Florida studio. The animators from that studio have opened the own, Legacy, so hopefully there have to good features in the future.
Disney are just concentrating on computer generated films, There even making Toy Story 3 WITHOUT Pixar.

yes, i forsee the death of disney after this parting with pixar. the pixar films were grossing at least 300 million dollars for disney and some upwards of 800 million...the best hand drawn film from them in the past 10 years didn't even break 200 million.

Its disney, but Pixar made it. Does anybody know the new Pixar movie called "The Incredibles." It's about a retired superhero, who is a insurance sellman, but years later, he goes back to a superhero but very out of shape. Anybody got other info? I also can't wait for Aladdin to come out on DVD. :D

A porn company is trying to buy Disney via hostile take over, (no joke) I cant really see Disney being a 'family' business if that happens.
I shudder to think what Mickey and Minnie will be doing next time you visit Disneyland.

The best Disney movie for me was Beauty and the Beast. My daughter's favorite movie when she was about 2-3. She would just say "beast" and be happy as a little pumpkin when I put it on. We would watch it together, over and over. She knew all the words to the songs, which dresses Belle would wear in which scene and most of the dialogue too. And who couldn't love lyrics like Gaston sang when he said, " I use antlers in all my decorating," and not love the big lug!
I also used to quote the beast when my rather picky daughter wouldn't eat what was put in front of her. I would hunch my shoulders, get a glowering look on my face and bellow, " than you can STARVE!" at her and she would giggle madly as she ate her supper. Don't know if the movie was any good, but it sure brings back good memories. She is as tall as I am now and a young lady, it sure is nice to look back and remember my little sweetie in one piece jammies an pig-tails and a little diaper clad butt wiggling back and forth as she danced along with Belle and the Beast. :)

to quote the simpsons: "Only 3 people have the 'evil gene'; Hitler had it, Walt Disney had it, and now Freddy Quimby has it"
the only good thing they ever did was Toy Story and i reckon Pixar can take most of the credit for that.

Car is the film that will be released after The Incredibles in 2005. I myself am not to sure what it's about. Check out IGN, they'll probably have some info. :)

I am a HUGE Disney animation fan and I have amassed a whole library of movies and animated shorts (check out the Walt Disney's Treasures collection peeps).
I gotta say that some of the best Disney (personally) are The Little Mermaid (the movie that put them back on top) and Beauty and the Beast (the first animated feature to be nominated for Best Film at the Academy Awards and received a standing ovation at the 1991 New York Film Festival when a 'Works in Progress' version was screened).
Disney geek alert :D
The computer animated films with Pixar are awesome, especially Toy Story (full of jokes that kids wouldn't or you don't want your kids to get - laser envy? :D ) and I can't wait till The Incredibles opens.
However, I have to admit that some of their later 2D traditional animation has been somewhat lacking ie. Treasure Planet, Brother Bear, The Emperor's New Groove etc. Lilo and Stitch was really funny and Tarzan used a revolutionary method called 'Deep Canvas' to convey a sense of 3D during the jungle scenes.
Lets have Disney MA flicks. Imagine Mickey shouting 'Watahhhhhhhhhhh!'
That would be too cool for school

I enjoyed the Altantis film.
The Lion King was the last good Disney produced film i really watched. Since then, all Disney produced films have been lacking. I haven't acually scene any of there films since Lion King, and dont really want to, which is saying alot.
