You know what, I've had ENOUGH!
Of what? of the various debates that seem to typify information about strength training on the internet.

The thing that first attracted me to working out was the LACK of ambiguity, the CLARITY of the thing. You were strong or you were not. It didn't matter about what people thought, strength was a real thing.

And as soon as I start looking up routines and stuff on the internet I'm forced to care about HIT and superslow and all that crap and the agonizing over reps and sets that OTHER PEOPLE care about.

You know what, sod it. I'm going back to doing old-fashioned exercises that I know work. Turkish getups. Pushups. And I don't give a damn about sets and reps, I'll do whatever I bloody well WANT as long as it's progressive.

And yes, I'm drunk, but god damn it I'm right.

Had a few drinks eh? Don't lift until you're sober! And what are turkish get ups?

riight on!

I'll agree that if people spent less time researching and agonising about what sets/reps they should do, and just worked out! improvement would be much more likely and quicker.

However I still cant rule out the importance of scientific training, even if I somewhat agree with your alcohol fueled and testosterone raging post.

Exercise is specific to the person, everyone has an opinion but its what suits you personally that counts

Oh christ, did I write this? Not that I'm chickening out or anything. I'm still doing what I want, just... just...

Yeah, well anyway I stick to my guns. I will lift big things, and be more like stumptuous. http://www.stumptuous.com/category/training

see? no agonising over reps and sets, just effort.
