Pretty straight foward. Would you rather be on the righteous path and live a life serving. Or would you prefer to be second to none and live your life by your rules, as degenerate as they may be?

No contest - option 1.

Just to play it safe, gotta do #1.

Well seeing it's "rule in hell" I assume I rule it and that I am the devil himself and can change my own surroundings to however I want the choice is obvious ;)

I would definitely rather serve in heaven. I never want to see hell. Even if you're the ruler of it, look at what it is you're ruling.

Heaven, yo.

Not that I believe in the thing.

I'll go for option 1, please.

In the event that either one exists, I would go with option #2. As the ruler of Hell, you are able to do as you please, up to and including changing Hell to your own preference. It is like being the opposite of god.

Why cant i rule over people in Heaven?

Leviticus tells me that I am allowed slaves here on earth? So why not in Heaven?

I wanna whip it up up there....YEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

You have a very good point, Shade. Why can't we rule in heaven? Some believe that heaven is our own mental manifestation of what we want, so wouldn't it be possible to rule heaven?

Ruling in hell would be cool until you burn in a pit of fire until the end of time.

until you burn in a pit of fire until the end of time.

Since I am the ruler I would stay in a bungalow on the beach ;)

Sun Hwang, who said that my hell was gonna have a pit of fire for me to burn in? I believe I would have other people burning in it while I was kicking back with a nice cold beer in my sweet penthouse apartment.

Don't have much of a choice, me names Mike, St. Michael is the 'soilder of God', guess I'd have to go for the Heaven thing :p

Serve in Heaven. Even if someone managed to proove to me that there is no God beyond a doubt, I'd still do the right thing.

Most of my friends are atheist, and some of them (the anti-Christian ones) are obsessed with hell, and think that they would actually ever get to be of some status if they'd go there. My other friend replied "you'd be the ones getting cigarrettes for the devil". Which basically sums up all these evil-worshipping people. Posers. None of them have the guts (or brains) to be Hitler Jr. Hell, they're actually really good friends, they just have a few self-esteem screws loose. :)

i suppose if you could rule hell, you could turn it into a rehab centre and sooner or later everyone would be in heaven instead of being tortured, not that i believe in that, im not christian :D

I'm an atheist, so in a way my vote doesn't count for much :D
I'd prefer to rule in hell- that way, you could transform hell into somewhere worth living in, throw wild parties and eat all the politicians :D

rule in hell.

Remember hell isn't the source of evil, its where the evil go to be punished.

Therefore, as ruler of hell, your carrying out Gods eddict to torture the evil, so in effect are still serving Heaven.

I'll go for option 1, all that smke'll go to my chest ;0

Hypothetically speaking (since neither place exists), I'd say rule in hell. I'd much rather have control of my destiny than not.

Then they aren't atheists.

better to serve than rule for me i think. taking into accouts all arguments for ruling in hell so far, i wouldn't want the responsibility of leadership

If you rule in hell people may not like the way you rule and try to take over by removing you or assasinating you. :woo:

Hell, so that I can speak with all the philosophers, corrupted popes, and some of the best thinkers in history. Imagine, sharing a place where you can converse with Cleopatra, Helen, Achilles, Homer, Alexander the Great, heck even supposedly Prophet Mohammed (of Islam) So, well, it would be one helluva gathering ;)

This, of course, is taken from Dante's Inferno mind you (just shows you how much of a geek I am, pathetic huh?) So please don't take offense!

Serve in Heaven. I'm neither a ruler nor a servant by nature, but more of the middle person, people above, people below. However, I'd rather serve in a nice place than rule in a bad place. Imagine the heat ;). Since I don't believe in either...

Shade

Imagine the heat

If you ruled, you could turn it down :D

In fact, if you ruled, you could make it whatever you want it to be, so it doesnt even have to be hell anymore. It could be your own personal Nirvana.

Serving brings its own rewards. Selfless service or SEVA is one of the Hindu ways to enlightenment.
