Hi there,
I'm quite time poor and I want to add some more training to my week. At the moment the only spare time I have is about half an hour before my MA classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
All other weekdays I am training MA and weekends one day is cardio, the other strength.
So I am looking on doing weight for the half hour before MA class.
Realistically, what sort of routine can get in half an hour (including warmup)?

You could do a bodyweight routine or a short weights routine
something like:
2 Dumbbell split snatch 5 x 3
2 dumbbell push press 5 x 3
a1) 1 arm bench x5 each side
a2) Plyo push up x8
120secs rest
b1) Wall squat 60 seconds
b2) Squat jumps x 10
repeat a1-b2 x 4
This is a sample routine from Ross Enamait's 'Infinite Intensity', which could be adapted for your purposes.

Kettlebell training an half an hour is all that you need with a warmup to get a really nice workout.

Try this:
Chest workout
Pushups 20 seconds as many as you can, ten second break. Repeat 8 times.
Incline bench ^^^^
Dumbbell bench ^^^^
Cable Crossovers ^^^^
crunches ^^^^
reverse crunches ^^^^
Takes about half hour. Don't think it would be good for BEFORE though.....

Thanks for the ideas.
I would want to avoid anything that we do as part of warmup for MA class, which means pushups and situps are out. Anything else is really fair game.
My first thought to doing this before MA class was that it wouldn't be too good for me during the class but it's worth a shot. And the gym is next door to class so it's all good.

The real problem with doing a workout before class is that if you're learning a new skill/technique it should always be done when not fatigued, so you learn it correctly and don't get sloppy.

That's really the issue right there. You don't want to get all worn out before your workout. It might be that the best thing you can do is a mobility circuit, and maybe a countdown, or something like that. I would stick to calisthenics and warmup-class drills.
That being said, I hit the fitness gym at 4 and head over to the fighting gym. Not optimal but I can't do any better right now.
