My uncles friend who is 5 dan in ninjutsu style called something like taijutsu bujunkan budo says a ninjutsu practioner who is more then 4 dan know reiki.Is this true?

That's just not true. I know very few practitioners who do know Reiki. Matter of fact, I have only met one. Reiki is simply not a part of the Bujinkan curriculum. That's not to say no one practices it, just that it's not required.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is reiki, is that some kind of massage etc, or am i on the wrong trail as per usual :D

Reiki - "Rei" - spirit "Ki" - ki/chi/energy

That's as far as I can help you with without giving you possibly wrong info. I guess it is a form of energy work.......maybe do a search on the net.....unless someone is kind enough to fill you in on this board.

Munners, I think your translation is fairly accurate. We did have someone in my dojo who practiced it, moved to Georgi to do learn full time. Tried it on me and while I felt temporary relief (that evening) it did not stay with me. Not going to say it does not work, maybe I need several treatments or sessions. Hopefully someone else will fill us in (Hint hint!!)
