Anyone here blog? I'm just found out about it today. It sounds interesting. I'm thinking of getting started with my own blog. Not sure if I'll stick with it or not, anyway, does anyone here know of a good site to get started with. Thanks

Check the journal button, you can write a journal on here, and quite a number of people already do. Just look under the name in the side bar and see if you can spot the 'journal' icon, links directly to their journals.

The other alternative is to download the latest google toolbar from toolbar.google.com
it has a 'Blog This' option available (go to options to enable it) which is really good.
Although not as good as our journal of course! :D
Google toolbar also has a lot of nifty new features such as a 'pop up blocker' built in.

I see thanks, maybe I'll start using the journal at this here site. Now I just have to find the time to do so. *Turns back clock on PC* ah, there we go.

So is blogging basically equivalent to keeping a journal?
Pretty much, yeah. Blog is short for Web Log, and is online so other people can read it, unlike your journal (unless you have invasive parents) :)

unlike your journal
The journal is also online! You do have the option to make private journal entries though that cannot be read by anyone (including moderators / admins)

I used to use a web application called Newspro. Worked really well.

So the point of a public journal/blog is what? Alibi is the only reason I can think of ;).

I know, I use the private entries to log my fitness/diet progress from time to time, and its damn handy.
I was talking about the good ole fashioned paper based journal though :D

Cut to the bone.
I prefer to see it as support, feedback and developing a sense of community - but that's just me :D

Even we see it the same way Yoda, no one needs to look twice to how much you have contributed to the forums ;)
Though we do enjoy teasing you a bit :D

I use Opera... type " g <search term> " in the address bar, and it does a Google search for you. No need for a toolbar :)

Google toolbar is evil, evil evil evil!
I like it personally - particularly from a web development viewpoint as it gives you extra info about pages such as googles PR (page rank) and backward links.
What do you hate about it? - I'll bet it is something to do with privacy!
