I think I feel about 80% back to normal, but I'm still coughing up stuff once and awhile. I had the flu for about a week and a half and havent gone to class in two weeks :(.
How can I know when I'm ready to go back? I've never gotten really sick and missed so many classes, I'm scared of getting lazy and out of shape.

GET A FLU SHOT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE NEXT YEAR!!!
And don't go back to class unless you're 110% well. You can still spread the virus to others during the recovery phase so just sit tight for a while. If your instructor is nice, he may allow you some free weeks of missed classes to make up for lost time.
When you get back to class, start slow. You've just been burned to a crisp by high fever and your body's weak. So take some time and then hit your normal pace after a bit.

Ah, thanks for the advice everyone. I'm going to the doctor on monday so hopefully he'll tell me it's ok for me to go back. I'm stretching and practicing my kicks in the meantime so I don't return to class feeling too rusty.
And Totality that isn't me in my sig, but I hope to compete in the future so someday that will be me (the guy knocking the other guy out, I mean).
btw, here's the website where I got the gif.(just in case you're wondering). The site aslso has some pretty cool video clips.Enjoy, and thanks for the advice you guys!

First, you aren't contagious right now. You're considered contagious for the first 4-5 days after your symptoms begin. Second, don't expect to fully recover for at least a month. I felt ok after a week and went back, but then a week after that my lungs suddenly started to really hurt when my blood got pumping, and I would cough up all sorts of nasty stuff. This lasted about 2 weeks. My instructor (who gave me the darn flu in the first place) encountered the same thing, and it took him a month before he was back to normal too.
