I read all the previous posts concerning water consumption and didn't see anything regarding actual amount per day EXCEPT this one:

The information in the article listed there is totally false and has been proven so over and over again. It is actually the only 'research' (someone's opinion) I have seen that goes against what every other expert says.

So how about it MAP? How much water PER DAY do you consume? How much do you THINK you should be drinking?

Don't do any research first...answer the questions, THEN look at the links!!

I shoot for about 130oz per day (about 4000ml) but I work out an average of 1.5 hours a day not including my MA training.

I think I should be drinking about 2000ml per day - but that should include water from fruit, veggie and other drinks and is based on the estimate (form a sports nutrition book I have) of 500ml per 500 calories engery expended

I actually drink between 500ml and 1500ml of water per day, depending on how much exercise I'm doing. However, that doesn't take into consideration the fluid I get from smoothies, tea, fruit and veggies.

In pure water form about 5L give or take a L. That includes training and without having to force it down!

don't know the exact quantities, but i can easily down one or two soda siphons in one day.
let;s just say that while i don't get water intoxication, bottled water sees me and cries.

That's hard to say because we get water from food, not just by itself in a glass. That said, I drink a good three liters a day independent of food.
My wife says I drink like a fish, and fortunately I drink what fishes drink :)

Yeah, the water from food sources is very difficult to track. The number I go for is just a rough estimate and I don't concern myself with hitting it exaclty as long as I get close. I know the food will take me over the top. That being said, some days I actually drink around 5000ml if I have a really intense workout that day! Normally, that is my Chest days (Monday).
