I was born on May 24, 1971. You do the math 'cause I never quite got a handle on subtraction :)

As far as height/weight (not sure when that came into this thread, but oh well), I'm 5'8" and down to 208 now. According to my BMI, my ideal weight is about 155. Total malarkey. I'd estimate that, with my bone density and muscle mass, anything under about 180 would be unhealthy for me. So, 180's what I'm shooting for. But if I plateau before then, I'll be more than happy. Two years ago, I was 290. I'll be happy as a puppy with two playmates if I stay below 220 :)

I'm 32, thank you for asking. Weird thing is that so far my 30s are more fun than my 20s. And I still get carded. People say I look 22. I rather like it. And being that my drivers license doesn't expire until the year 2032, I'm doubly glad that my youthful appearance will spare me the displeasure of visiting the evil office (aka, the Dept. of Motor Vehicles).

My good pal, who is but a couple months older than me, says we're definitively old. He says there is four inches of topsoil, and it takes seven years to erode one inch, so every 28 years all the current topsoil is gone and we have all new dirt.

Thus, me and my friend are older than dirt.

I gotta good laugh out of that one. For some reason my wife didn't laugh, though.

I asked my friend if it's true or not, about the dirt. He said, "As far as you know!"

Gonna be 22 at the end of this month (June). Not that bad of an age if you got money to spend. Then again, I guess you can say that about any age. :D

Hm, over 200 people that are over the ages of 26 and almost over 200 for the ages under 25. Interesting. Kind of glad to see people stuck with martial arts for that long or got into it at that age, and to see a lot of "kids" interested in the martial arts is cool but I wonder how many will stick with it for a long time.

I'm 15 years old right now. Been doing MA for probably 4 years now, get my black belt some time this december hopefully. After that, I'll go for second degree, then third, and so on...:D Plus, there's the whole aspect of extreme martial arts that intrigues me, and so I just got into that. Needless to say, I think I'm gonna stick around in MA for quite a while... ;)

14, too young to make a point. Although people have told me I look about 20.

Cynical, bitter and world weary.

And I feel about 114. My birthday is next month and I'm dreading it. I'm only 5'7 and according to a library reference book a 15 year old girl is as tall as she will ever be.

God damn if I ever meet the author lying in the street bleeding I swear I will walk right over him.

Seems to be a distinct skew of the age distribution on MAP towards youth, which might suggest MAs are hazardous to longevity. :D

43 now. Need glasses when wearing contacts in order to read, got the middle age spread thing going on, don't understand half of what the under 20's are talking about, hard of hearing from too much RnR and playing in a band when younger. But, what little hair I have is by choice. Of course, it's all grey, so I keep it shrt.

As for MA being hazardous to longevity, I prefer to belive that it's the MA that have kept those of us older folk around this long. I mean, we got a few over 50 and 60. And still kicking it. That's where I want to be. In my 90's and still kicking it.

uh.. 14 going to 15? haha
im looking foward to improve in MA.. man! doing splits is hard

Doing splits isn't hard, its all in the mind. Once you learn to relax, and you know the correct excercises to do to get you into the splits, its easy. Think about it like...........i don't know..... sitting down on you back side on the floor, if you just let yourself drop onto your butt, then yeah it will hurt, but once you realise you have to bend your legs, and all the other bodily mechanics involved in sitting on your butt, you can do it and it doesn't hurt, probably not a very good example, but what i'm trying to get at is you can't just practice dropping into the splits from a standing position with feet apart and expect to get there one day - well that didn't work for me thats for sure, you need to stretch all the independent muscles seperately until they are ready for the splits if you know what i mean

Have two years really gone by? and  again!
