Does anyone Train who has had one? If so have you reached 100%? How long did it take? Did you go to therapy? Did that have a direct impact on your recovery? I have had my cast off for a solid 6 months.I would say if i had to guess im about 80%.At this point is this the best i can hope for? I dont want to lose that tool but i dont want to risk doing more damge either. I realize that the best advice would come from my doctor but i skipped out on therapy so i would rather not talk to him about this.

Right... let me get this... you skipped out on therapy... yet you come on an martial arts forum with largely anonymous posters to ask for medical advice. lol... I'm guessing your not employed as a rocket scientist.

I Balieve he was asking for advice from people like himself and that understand martial arts, since sometimes Doctors have a skewed view on the whole subject.

Wow... your like a highly trained super agent. How did you guess im not
a rocket scientist? LOL. Look, I did skip therapy and that was not the smartest move i could have made.I dont think its out of the question that on a martial arts forum another member would have sustained a similar injury and would be willing to share their experience.

I had a boxers fracture decades ago, caused in a moorcycle crash though (base of left little finger).

I have to be careful to wrap that hand very securely when doing bagwork and always wear gloves.

Other than that however it doesn't give me any trouble, so given enough time you should be fine.

As everyone has said though, good physio will get you sorted more quickly and more completely, do it if you can!
