quotes

I can not seem to use the quote feature effectively. I hi-lite the passage I want then I hit the quote icon , but it quotes the entire thread, not the few hi-lited passages I choose. What am I doing wrong?

Another way is to click on post reply, and hit the quote button there, then copy and paste from the thread. Or you can put square brackets around quote and /quote, like so.

Hit quote, highlight the text you DON'T want, then delete it with Ctrl X, before responding and submitting.

Failing that, as Cain said; highlight the text you DO want, hit Ctrl C, hit 'Post Reply', then the Quote button and paste the quote Ctrl V into the little box that appears.

Practice in the Testing section. :D
