I was wondering if anyone on the forum read the article in the recent edition of the Journal of Asian Martial Arts on the history of Korean Martial Arts. He brought up a lot of interesting points.
In quick summary he suggests that most Modern Korean Martial Arts developed separately from the any existing martial systems that had evolved in Korea prior to the twentieth century. The author states that those systems where more or less lost until a number of influential training manuals were rediscovered and eventually translated into modern languages.
Was just curious as to people's view points on the article.
