Holland and Barratt don't appear to have any oats of this type in stock - is there anywhere that sells steel cut oats over the counter? Else I'll buy online, but would rather buy from a shop first!

Cheers all.

Have you looked for Irish Oats also? They are the same kind of oat. In other words, they are NOT steamed, rolled, steamed, and rolled again, like regular oats.

I have had Quaker brand "steel cut" and another brands "Irish Oats" I compared the labels and they are absolutly the same product, just different companies.

Hmmm... I *think* I found some oats that resemble steel cut, in H&B! It's called coarse grain oatmeal. Not sure if that is the same thing?

But oh my gosh - delicious!
