This is a poll to determine the Martial Art school or schools the people on this net study at. Apparently in this pole you can only make one choice so make it yor dominant school.

Which one does Wing Chun fit into? Is that what Shaolin Wushu covers? (I do notice the kung fu in brackets behind it by the way... im just a bit wary after all the debates at present in the CMA about 'Shaolin and Wushu').

Yes, because of limited choices, Shaolin wushu includes all kungfu and wushu Arts.

Maybe... Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Phillipino (spelling?), French, Modern/Mixed and so on might work better. Then again maybe not!

It would be good if someone wants to submit a poll on the different schools of wushu (kungfu arrrrrrrgh!!!)

Where does Eskrima fit in? Arnis? Kali?

Use other and describe. I only had 10 choices.

How about Submission Grappling?

Savate?

Silat?

Other please give details.

Boxing?

Other Mohammed Ali.

Jett Kune Do?

Bruce Lee's variation of wushu

Never heard of Tai Kwan Do - do you mean Tae Kwon Do?

Yes it's the same, just different spelling.

Psst: Tai Chi is Kung Fu too.

Psssssssst!!!!!!!!!!!! I live in China and study Tai Chi and other Arts. They are definitely not the same and their origins are quite different. What is called (Kungfu arrggh!) is wushu the modern form of Chuan Fa from Buddhist monastaries. Tai Chi is primarily from Taoist traditions and primative animal forms of China.

Korean is primarilly Tai (Tae) Kwon Do or Tai Kian. Indian is primarilly Yoga (If different site other and describe). The main European school I know of is Systema or other Russian schools (If different please use other and describe in a post). Brazilian if Brazilian Judo is Judo (If other please use other and describe in a post.). I don't know of any purely American schools other than some independent schools that mostly are related to one of the above. If there is an American school, please use other and describe in a post.

I would have said tai chi chuan but nowadays I focus more on baguazhang and Wudang shan so I'm not in that group.

Ninjutsu. Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu to be precise. And no, it doesn't fall under aikido or karate or judo.
