Some Idea that's good only because I tought of it!!!

Well I think we should add a Martial Arts Clip Section. It's a lot of work trying to find old posts on clips and people post them often...so why not just have a clip section. So you can put clips of schools or spars between teachers and when you need to find them there all in one place. Or one place that you don't spend 15 minutes finding a clip at least.

With our current Bandwidth crisis, this is a serious No Go. If our cash flow improves and we can afford enough bandwidth, then its a something we may consider.

It's a great idea - unfortunately bandwidth costs money - and since we went banner ad free for the benefot of YOU lot - we have no income other than the Pay Pal donations, which to be frank - have been all but non-existant.

We had to change to a higher level of server package yesterday as we had used up this months bandwidth and the site had closed. This costs more - so give already :p

Just for those who don't get it!

The Admin and Staff here are all voluntary.

No one get's a bean from MAP.

Hard as it may seem to believe, the guys all work out of love of the community here.

I know many members are students and may be struggling themselves, but every bean donated counts.

If we don't get support from the members who can afford to help out now and then, then inevitably those awful popups will reappear!

Seriously, we are currently looking into ways to donate. Cooler is in the process of organising a PO box so that members can donate by check, cash or bottles of buccy. We are also looking at other ways of paying for the site.


And that children is why MAP can never exceed the bandwidth again!!!!


Bandwidth has been increased from 30Gb/month to 50Gb/month. I recon that this will probably last us 4-5months at the current growth rate. Obviously the more money we can raise, the more bandwith we can afford and the more we can offer in terms of video downloads etc.

Speaking of MPegs etc.

It's pretty easy to find all the WC vs MMA, TKD vs MT, Karate vs BJJ etc, and we can always let other sites pay for that, and post links to be discussed.

No reason why members can't post their MPegs on their home sites and post links to them, again saving the forum bandwidth.

If this site does get sufficient bandwidth and funding, then I'd like to see more submissions of original material for the site magazine if anything. Say in the form of Articles on particular techniques, supported by an MPeg of the member demonstrating???

No I do not mean we store the movies on the actual site, but just have a section that you post clips that you found. I've had a lot of trouble finding clips in the past and some times I'm bored and like to watch clips that other people here watch.
