Muscle loss-muscle spasms?

Long story short I was in and out of hospital and not exercising or eating for a couple of weeks. Needless to say i lost a lot of muscle in my arms and have suffered from muscle spasms since. These have stopped now that I've started getting the muscle back so was the rapid loss probably the cause or should i see my GP?

Dehydration was probaly the culprit.

quite possibly. although i might be discussing the wrong thing. spasms are where the muscle contracts tightly right? i have twitching not tightnesss
