new rewriter?

how do u install a new rewriter, do u need new driver software the installing part (physical) is easy i was wondering if i needed to do anything else except have nero. its a plextow PX-W4012TA

you shouldn't need software drivers windows should have them

I also use a plextor writer and you just need Nero to get it to run well.

If your running Windows XP you don't need anything.

If not, just install any CD Burning software. Nero, Roxio...


Other then that, just whack the drive in. Make sure you check all the master/slave jumpers and primary/slave cables.

See the BIOS startup to see if the system detected the new drive.


Then it's good to go.

Is the actual hardware installed, or do you just want the softwware installed? If so, just put the Nero CD in the drive, and install as you would any other program.
