Don't they dry out and grind connective tissue and stick it in capsules as a supplement?:confused:

Funny enough, I was wondering if some of the stuff was merely gross, rather than actually bad for you.

Gross does not always mean bad for you - have you ever seen or tasted natto, yet it's a top health food. Even Japanes people either love it or hate it.

Like Marmite!
I have eaten some seriously disgusting tasting food. But I have also eaten some horrendous looking food.
People dont like the idea of Chinese style Chickens feet...its lovely. Tastes like Chicken Skin....but..what if the Chicken foot was the size of your hand!?
Thats what I was served while back in good ol' HongKong. Thing was massive! It was like that evil sorceress woman from Sinbad , where she turns into a crow through a potion but didnt take enough potion back and she had crow feet when she became human again and they hunted her down and served her feet to me. (gross unless your into that sort of thing)
Saying that, I've eaten dog and what not...that seems gross but tastes great!
The most disgusting item that I have ever eaten..based on flavour, texture, after taste, colour.....tofu sausage. As you pick up the frozen sossy, you realise straight away theres something wrong....the sausage is hard as a rock and its not frozen. Believing this to be a nothing but a blip as this is a tofu sausage after all, I whacked it on the barbie anyway..
The tofu sausage was grey already, but grilling the damn thing made it look more grey with some burnt bits..when it looked cooked, thought I'll grab a one and nosh it.
As a Oriental I naturally like tofu, so I know what it tastes/smells/looks like....this tasted nothing like tofu.
It tasted like cardboard, felt like cardboard smelt like cardboard. And when you bite it, it actually crumbles like its a cake.
Mushroom's reccommendation of what not to eat: Tofu Sausages.

I used to pay the bills for the Win Hong (Sp) OAP lunch club in Glasgow, so I saw bills for chicken's feet amongst other things. But in Glasgow in the 60's I remember people buying chicken feet to make stock for soup and it wasn't Chinese people. The only Tofu Sausages I like are the Tai Fun Mexican style ones, made in Germany IIRC.
