Pop-up?!?!?!?!?

Hiya mods.

What's with the pop-up screen? Those are the most annoying thing. I'm not bashing or anything, but pop-ups, in my opinion, are very annoying. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, so forgive me if I seem that way.

What popup screens mate? I don't get them myself. You can usually find free anti-popup software on the web if this is becomong a problem for you though. Have a quick search under pop-up ads or something similar, if you still have a problem, let us know.

I was getting pops ups on MAP last nite but this morning I haven't seen any yet.

Strange. I've never seen any popups on MAP. At home, I've an anti-popup software and figured maybe that's why I haven't seen one. But for the past several weeks, I've been traveling and logging in from my laptop where I don't have the anti-popup software ... still, no popups.

Pop-up... Well they are generated by the banner ad, our banner supplier sometimes bundle pop up's with the banner. You only see the popup if you get the banner ad associated with it. Unfortunately it's a necessary evil since the ad's cover the server cost :(. So thats the reason some people see them and other don't they will probably only last a day or two at most since the traffic we generate on our other site usually use up the page views pretty fast and thus the ad cycle ends. Then no more pop up's till some other bright spark of a marketer thinks they would be a good idea.

Yup ... just had a bunch of the frickin-frackin things pop up and I realized that it's tied into the banner ... how annoying.

Anyway ... if you go to www.popupstopper.com and click on the "Download" section. It's available there for free and is pretty useful. I'm sure there are others out there, but this is the one I use.
