Any suggestions on whats best to intake after the weigh in if you only have 2 hours and you have cut 7kgs to make weight?

I would probably consume mostly fluids and carbs - gatorade would be a good option.

I agree, but the thing is, shouldn't you have tried to cut the weight in the first place, it wouldn't be easy to cut a lot in 2 hours.

Agreed on both counts. Water's definitely a must. I remember hearing about Matt Hughes and GSP both drinking "Pediasure" after weigh-ins for one of their fights, and they're both known to cut a lot of weight.
If possible, though, try to cut weight gradually. Here's a good article on weight cutting:

7kg is way, way too much to cut if weigh ins are two hours before competition.

Thanks for that. Already got that one. Its good but it presumes you have the weigh in a day before the fight. Mine is 2 hours!

Don't worry about the "You'll kill yourself!" crowd too much. People get all dramatic about cutting weight these days.
You need to get your fluids in and some pasta and a banana or an apple. Don't eat too much if you only have two hours.

Just to let you guys know. I managed to cut down to 77kgs from 84kgs. I weighed myself in the morning and I was 79kgs. I fasted for 24 hours, and the morning of the fight I was 79. I sat in a hot bath in my Sauna Suit. I didnt eat or drink anything. I weighed in at 3pm on Sat. I was 75kgs. I managed to drop 4kgs in 6 hours! By the time of my fight at 9.30pm. I was 77kgs and felt fine. In total I lost 9kgs 4 of which were done on the day of the weigh in. No ill effects. It can be done when needed. With more fights lined up, I plan on staying around the 79kgs mark and only cutting 2 kgs the week before.
I agree, my exp may have been extreme, but it shows it can be done!

Not really extreme, but well done anyway.

For adding weight back after weigh-in I suggest a good bowl of Pho', or any salty soup. The salt will help you retain the water intake and the the noodles will give you a carb spike.
As for removing the weight 7 kg is a bit much in 2 hours. I've done that much overnight but being older and wiser now I'd recommend against it all together.
