Batos & Tonfas

Pardon me, but which is better tonfas or batons?
Anyone have any details on them, thank you.
My brother, who is 5'8, wants to get something.
i personally think that tonfas are by far better.
But my brother is someone picky and he don't know what to get.

Tell your brother to ask his instructor which weapon he think's he should get. And if he doesn't have one, then tell him not to buy them. Weapons are dangerous, and should only be used in controlled conditions by trained people.

Well, he's less likely to kill himself with a baton, though its still not impossible. I'd say get some proper training in it first though, or at least some sort of weapon training.

You can use a tonfa like a baton, but you can't use a baton like a tonfa. You can't use either if you don't know how - get proper training!

yes, all this i do understand. But what I'm really looking for is your opinions on which is better. After all he can't start training if he don't know what he wants to learn.

We can't tell you what your brother wants to learn, he has to decide that himself. The best way to do that is to try out a class and see which one he likes best.
