What do you mean by weapon forms? A set "kata" using weapons? Or most common weapons? My opinion, the most common weapons are (in no particular order) 1) hanbo 2) knife (tanto) 3) jo 4) kusari fundo and 5) bo. Others may have weapons that they find to be most commonly taught. I chose these on the basis of what I have learned over the years and that they combine almost all ranges in weapons. Easy to adapt to ordinary things, mix of short, long, rigid, flexible, sharp and dull. Personal favorite these past year has been the kunai (can I hear an "Amen"?). As far as katas go. Yes there are a few. Mostly adapted from the empty hand forms. After all, an external weapon is just an extension of your body.
