I have had some basic training in Arnis. Formely Karate Do.
Having done a lot of freestyle sword work with bokken and knife fighting with rolled up news papers (just amatuer stuff, hard and learning the hard way) but it was a real eye open for me when a friend introduced me to Arnis.
The trapping and countering was something new that I took back to my friends I had been training with and it really suprised them.
What I learned from the fighting with the rolled up newspapers was in a fight I was going to be cut, it was just whose cut was going to be more effective.
Unfortunatey he can no longer teach due to health issues.
I would love to learn Sayoc Kali and teach my boys.
My partner was born in the Philippines and then came to Australia.
I want to be able to pass something on to them.

Either,
If someone who knows what they are doing wants to train with for sure.
I am looking more for someone to teach me because I have only a very basic introduction to this.
