View Full Version : Trouble with photo upload in Gallery

I've tried to add new photos to the Member Gallery, and I keep getting a message stating this:

Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 127

Command: "/usr/bin/X11/mogrify" -size 100x75 -quality 70 -geometry 100x75 '/home/maplanet/public_html/photos/data/500/999black_eye-thumb.bmp'

I dunno the first thing about html or php, just taking a wild shot in the air....

The problem seems to be when the software is trying to create a thumbnail of your image which is in bmp format.....

Try converting the bmp to jpg images that MAY work I dunno....

I'm getting it as well, and can't get it to work at all. I'll ask HongKongFuey to take a look at it.

I assume it is OK now as it looks like you have uploaded photos VT - I havnt changed anything though!

Our ISP had to do some maintenance work last night - it is possible they reset file permissions on the photo gallery.

Let me know if all is OK

Yeh still have probs.

It seems to happen to the larger photos where they need to be thumbnailed. The one I posted didn't.

I had a look around, and it seems to be a common problem with the software.

I'll grab a link for you.

EDIT: Nup, soz, lost it.

I'm on the case - looks like the Mogrify software which produces thumbnails has been moved from our server. Thanks for spotting guys.

I can't upload anything at all :'( Although I'm logged in to the Forum, whenever I go to the Photo Gallery page, the "Login" link is there. And when I do try to login, it says it's "redirecting" me to the main page, but I still end up logged out of the photo gallery :'(

Are you punishing me for something? :cry:

Yes - there's a way - but we're waiting for a gallery software upgrade before we can do it.

Gallery software upgrade does not seem to have sorted this. A few other sites are having this same issue (although I know of one where it is working fine). It's now logged as a bug with vbulletin, so am waiting on feedback.
