The Genbukan Manual on Taijutsu I found to be an awesome reference for my training. Its is like 30 bucks but it is worth it.

Yeah, it has descriptions and pictures of all the Taijutsu techniques from 10th kyu up to Shodan. It also has a few prefaces on Ninpo/Ninjutsu and lineage.

There is also a newly developed version of the Tenchijin Ryaku no Maki out, which is the Bujinkan training guide. Get in touch with Thom Humphreys to order it. They're currently working on a Flash multimedia CD version which should be even more superb then the printed version as it will have movies and other such things. I forget the price of the manual, but it is well worth the cost.

I'd also like to know if there's a web site for the Bujinkan training guide. Actually, I'd like to check out that one, and the Genbukan one, too. I'm a visual learner, and like to see pictures and written descriptions (to supplement training in class, of course).

I haven't seen it, yet. But everyone else in my dojo has and they say IT ROCKS!!!!
So, when I have the spare cash, I'm going to buy a copy. Right now I am waiting for my NJ Tai Kai video. It should be here by now...

Lemme see if I can't dig up Thom's site for ordering the training manual. I can at least get you all the ordering form. The training guide is the original Tenchijin manual, however, each technique has been translated into lengthy English descriptions and such with the Kanji for various technique names also given beside each. It truly is a masterpiece. I recommend it highly. I can't wait for the CD-ROMs to start shipping. But anywho, back to searching for the website/order form.

Okay, here you go, all. I found the order form just as easily as I knew I would. The following is a link to the MSN group known as Ninja Club that is run by Bujinkan practitioners, however, all organizations and styles are welcome and encouraged to converse. The order form for the manual is in the Documents section of the club. It's titled Bujinkan Student Data.doc

I would highly recommend the third option for the manual which will get you the three-disc set, which ships shortly, along with the wonderfully-produced printed version. I think everyone involved did a phenomenal job in the makings of this guide. Pick it up in any format you can.
