I'm new to this, and i want to have a routine that can help me build strength and size. I can't go to a gym, since im only 15 and i rarely would have a ride.. so i have some dumbbells and a barbell at my house, and im adding more like weights, pullup bar etc

if anyone could help me follow a good routine where i can gain strength, that can incoporate weight lifting and body weight, that would be great (:

all your advice is needed

hi. welcome to MAP.

one thing you dould try is this: http://trainforstrength.com/workout1.shtml

i've done it sporadically for some time(chronic laziness :D) and have gotten very good gains nonetheless, so i suggest you try is and incorporate some weight exercises while you're at it, and i think you'll be fine. more knowledgeable people will be here shortly t give better advice(or they might have posted it before i finish writing this, who knows :p)

personally, i'd recommend, if you have a barbell, change the hindu squats for barbell squats and reduce the number of reps.

Hey can you guys give me advice on this following routine i thought of?:

Monday - Upper body

Tuesday - Core

Wednesday- Legs

Thursday- Upper body

Friday- Core

Saturday- Legs

Sunday- Rest ( nice relaxing walk, shadowbox)

Also some heavy bag work 3 times a week? <-Need help with that one

For upper body, i would incorporate body weight and free weight such as pull ups, dips, push ups, pull overs, bench press, barbell curl, upright rows.. etc

Core - Leg raises, Sit ups, Plank, Good mornings, pelvic thursts, russian twists, etc.

Legs- dead lift, squat, calf raises, and some plyometrics, etc

I think you catch my drift though, so i wont name all of the excersises . But there isnt that much so i wont kill myself =P

but all i need is some advice, even if its critizing me :)
