i recently came across these vids on the youtube of this guy named max kettlebell, who produces all these workout vids. i jus wanted to no if anyone has used these and were they effective. i personally felt like he did not have any experience besides just lifting heavy crap. and thought that he really reminded me of rex from "Rex Kwon DO" in Napolean Dynamite. but perphaps im wrong.

err... post a link to specifically which vid/person your talking about to get a better response. MAP now supports inline vids. ;)

Is this the guy you're referring to?

(LOL! at the gym he owns. :D )

It was sort of funny... he sounds like a living version of some of the old Jerky Boys characters. He talks about doing a dozen reps and then does two and is out of breath. :p

That did make me laugh actually where he did 2 reps, struggling on the second press, and stated that he would normally do 12. He seems to have some experience, but the video was boring and relatively pointless. He repeated crap about getting tougher and just training rather than concentrating on the details. While this is all well and good, it pays a big disrespect to decent coaches who know what they are doing and is really only for complete noobs who have no clue about training. Training can mostly be split into good, better and best - this is better than what many people do but there are many other ways to train that will give more measurable, quicker results.

That video was hilarious. It has to be comedy. It can't be serious.

The other phrase that was comedy gold was:

'We're doing it hardcore, medieval dinosaur'...

Err... there were no medieval dinosaurs. :D

To his credit, I think he meant hardcore, medieval, dinosaur.
