View Full Version : squatting instead of sitting on chair at work

I tried it today but couldn't hold the squat long. I'll continue to try it -- that and running upstairs should provide at least a moderate lower-body exercise at work.

I also started doing push-ups at work. Naturally, in hindsight I should've started these exercises much sooner instead of wasting time at work.

A very senior figure in the UK TKD community was known as "Kung Fu [sic] Bob" at work in the early days. He was a welder and would weld with his leg in a stretch up on the bench next to the job he was working on.

I suppose stuff like that is more possible at some jobs than others though.

move to korea.....when i was there these folks were always in a squat...us gis used to call it the kimchi squat.....

eveyone...a guy waiting for the bus, teen tuffs hanging at the park, momma san at the market...all in a squat

Yes but I don't care. To quote a coworker who's also a fellow martial artist "worrying about what people think is toxic".

I used to do pushups and stuff at work, as well as climbing on the pipes and stuff like that. I got into so much trouble for that.

a good tip i was given,was to get rid of the computer chair and use a swiss ball instead, you are then constantly engaging your core muscles.
