Hi guys and girls,

I was wondering If any you knew of any links or recipes for microwave meals. When I mean Microwave meals I mean the stuff you can make, throw into the freezer and then heat in the microwave when required.

I go to university and I one of things I hate doing at lunch time is going to the supermarket only to buy 2 minute noodles or some other crap.

Some of you might know that I'm starting bodybuilding. :D

So I need bodybuilding friendly meals.

Cheers,

Hapuka.

what bodybuilding bodybuilding? Or strength training (ie. lifting for martial arts)

If your really bodybuilding i would get some frozen chicken/fish, frozen veg and prapare them in the microwave. Readymeals arnt gonna build any muscles. Even make sandwiches with wholemeal bread beforehand, with hummus or tinned fish (in spring water) with plenty of veg.

Pretty much anything bar brocolli and certain forms of meat will reheat safely and tastily. I cook bulk loads of vegetables and rice and pasta to make things easier.

Pad Thai Chicken with Veg and rice is so easy to bulk cook and microwave.

You can make a huge amount of meals, measured out the exact callorie and macro nutrient levels you want, lob them in the freezer, and eat them when you need them. Too bad the microwave makes things taste like ****....

Broccoli? I eat mine cold but I've never thought if it'd be bad to reheat it. Does it kill you? Or just not taste nice?

It tends to go hard and bitter or else really watery and pretty much turns to paste :/

I don't like to cook broccoli except like this - put a little sesame oil in a pan and brown the broccoli. Add a little water and soy sauce and cover and let stem briefly - top with sesame seeds and serve. Otherwise I eat it raw, about 1-1.5 cups with a meal.

Raw? It's like eating your mums plants :p

I like it steamed. Fresh though, frozen broccoli tastes like rubber.

Anyway :topic:
