I am a heavy set person and just got done working out, and it seems that it was at one end of the spectrum, and soft chi gung that the person in our town teaches on the other end of the spectrum. My question is their a hard chi gung good for loseing weight or some other eastern exercise? Thanks.

what?

Are you asking "is hard Chi Kung good for losing weight?", "Is there some hard Chi Kung that is good for losing weight?", or "Is there some other eastern exercise that is good for losing weight?"

The answer to all those questions is no. No, no and no. Not only that, but it's a commonly perpetuated FITNESS MYTH that physical activity is associated with low body fat percentage. In fact, there is a positive correlation between activity and mass (more activity = more mass). The fact of the matter is, that the best way to control weight is through diet. Not just WHAT you eat, but WHEN you eat it. For more information, visit the Nutrition section of the health and fitness forum on MAP.

Wow

I sound like a bloody commercial.

I use the ancient Taoist weight loss method called "precision nutrition." It's worked well for me, and it's very . . . eastern. :p :D
