I am sure this has been asked before but I am to lazy to search for it. What I am asking is if is good to train with weights on the arms and legs while training. I guess I have a vision in my head that if you do for awhile and then take the weights off you will be allot faster. Speed is very important to me as I am kind of slow.
Thank you

No it's a crappy idea - it causes more harm than good - it's to do with leverage. Go and do some proper weight training and bodyweight exercises to work on your strength.

Hello Mr.C,
Wrist weights and ankle weights are not any good to develop speed or effective muscles.
The weighted vest is slightly different it helps work out the muscles by adding more weight. The ankle weight may feel like it is adding weight it does but only on extension of the leg, this is bad because the pull on the joint of the leg causes more weight to come back at the joint possibly damaging it. So if you mean like doing punching and kicking bad ideal, as adouglasmhor post says.
Speed can be added by using methods of plyometric drills. Like push-ups fast, or understand the plyo concept and adding it to the arm training ideas. Plyos are based around how the muscle around the joint work and controlling the joints. So, a good drill is quickly extending the arm, bringing the elbow up to between the shoulder and hand this will train the fast twitch muscles. Slow twitch it is a slightly different idea. Maybe this helped you, maybe not.
nready, good luck!

This line probably won't earn you big points, or many real answers. If you can't be arsed to search for it, why should others spend their time cooking up a repeated answer for you?

My bad!
***where did I put my oxfords any way?***
Just add a gym session or two to your training.

Mate id forget about the arm & leg weights.
Just have a real good read of this site http://www.rosstraining.com/
All a martial artist could need to develop speed, power & strength is contained within Ross' work. He has more than enough weight training for combat specific training.
