Hello all, I was wondering if anyone could give me some info on MooMoo Kwan Hapkido.

A little back ground on me, I hold the rank of 2nd Dan in TKD Kang Duk Won. I am planning to start training in Hapkido next week. I am looking forward to a long hard road of discovery.

I trained in Moo Moo Kwan Hapkido in Korea... the one I was in was under GM Myung Jae Nam's International Hapkido Federation (IHF).

On a similar note, GM Serge Baubil of Hoshinkido Hapkido (in Montreal) started off in Moo Moo Kwan Hapkido as well.

Where are you looking at this school and who is the instructor?

Hmmmm.... well, it looks like the Moo Moo Kwan mentioned there is simlar or the same as the group I studied with in Korea, at leats the patches are the same (and the affiliation with the IHF). I notice in the curriculum that they have forms (hyung) as well (most Hapkido groups do not)... although the names are different.

In my opinion, based on just the websites and because I recognize the patches, I'd check it out and see how the instruction is and if it's a good atmosphere. Good luck!

Thank you for your replies. I have checked the school out, and I like the way they teach. Everyone seem to be very nice and work hard. I do think I have found a home. :D
