Hi Guys, this is my first post in this section of the board.

I have recently started training in Daito Ryu Aiki-JuJutsu after a few years of trying to learn Wado Ryu Karate.

My Sensei in Daito refers to it as a “Koryu” but is this correct?

According to the oracle of all knowledge (Wiki) its codification was completed after the Meiji restoration. Anyone go any views on this?

Here's an interesting read:

What sensei are you training Daito Ryu under and are they affiliated with the hombu dojo (http://www.daito-ryu.org/index_eng.html)?

I train with these guys:

I have to say, a great bunch of guys who really seem to know their stuff.

As far as I know historians can only track the history back to Takeda aikijujutsu with any certainty. Kogusoku will be able to enlighten you.

Slip the JAP? I like it!!
