I was watching the discovery channel and they talked about a weapon that was developed from scythes, since the farmer's were not allowed weapons and so they used scythes. Does anybody know anything about these weapons?

dunno, I suppose Kama's kinda look like minature blunt scythes.

now are talking about Asia or Europe?

I know that in Europe a farmer would reattach the head of the scythe so that it was inline with the haft making it more spear like, and it was apparently a vicious polearm.

anyone ever tried using a shovel or a fork as a weapon? I reckon they'd be pretty damn effective.
