hi ya,

do you think chi could be focused to levatate or jump higher?

Sure - all you need to do is take this little pill.

Whilst you're at it, apply for a Pilots Licence.

The Chinese understanding is that masters of old did fly, skip across water and fight in treetops a la crouching tiger, hidden dragon.

I've heard of levitation 3rd-hand, one of those being a Chinese man (the other a Westerner, unrelated to ma - and I don't mean David Blaine).

One of my teachers finds it credible. He is well into his chi and meridian massage etc. I find no reason to get hung up on the conviction that it's impossible, especially when I know diddly.

I think that these flying stories, are created by people who see fantastic things that do not understand them. Perhaps a monk could jump over a man's head - once the story has been retold a few times, the monk is jumping 15 foot in the air and breathing fire.

Does Michael Jordan use Chi to 'hang' in the air, or just years of dedication and training? What would a chinese peasant have thought of his abilities many centuries ago?

Did George slay the dragon in real life, or is this an exaggerated version of another story? Did Noah lead 2 of every animal onto the Ark?

When i say flying i don't mean like superman, if you people don't believe this i spossible fine. But there have been records of sightings where monks have been known to levatate, and a man jump 20 foot into the air. You can say this is impossible but i believe nothing is otherwise you limit yourself and your mind. Chi is a powerful force when focused properly, if chi is focused down into the feet who know's what it could accomplish. Nothing is impossible.

Well,
I have been told some very 'strange' things by a lot of people. People who's opinions and knowledge I trust.

A friend of mine who was a Martial Arts Journalist, swears to me that he has witnessed first hand, Levitation and other whatnots including dissappearing/ re-appearing elsewhere (trans something or other) etc.

I keep an open mind about such things, but, I feel that if you took the time to phrase your questions a little bit more succinctly, then you'd get a better quality of feedback.

Most people when they hear the word Chi, tend to 'fly' into fits of laughter....

I remember when I was a teenager, I heard of a meditation school where they taught levitation. It was in a few pretty reputable magazines and they all talked like it was the real deal.

I was really excited about it and did more and more research. In the end I found a tape of the levitation techniques.

Ends up it was just a bunch of hippies bouncing around on their knees on padded mats.

No moral - just a story

of course you can levitate....why would you even doubt that...here try this method...jump off a rooftop and focus all your chi on your ASS meridian...hopefully the blast from your chi-fart will get you enough to levitate from crashing to the ground. that my friend, is how monks fly....

Maybe with a trampoline you might fly...

I also had a CHI-a pet fly once when a GF thru it threw a window...

I remember that being on the BBC news. It turned out to be Global Peace 'action' by yoga students in Milton-Keynes*. The technique is called yogic-flyiing and it looks hilarious. Get into the lotus position and then jump around on your knees.

*Milton-Keynes was mentioned on TV a few days ago my a comedian. He was bemoaning the complete charmlessness of America and he said: "When people ask me to describe America, I say it's Milton-Keynes but without any pies".

Both my levitation anecdotes come from good sources. Flying wasn't mentioned but definitely feet off the ground. Makes no difference to you or me if it's true or not but if it's not true then two good men have lied for no reason.

David

I remember this too :D I think I saw it on Newsround (UK kids news show), so I couldn't have been too old. I remember thinking, 'Thats not flying, thats bouncing'

Quote from somewhere...paraphrased:

"If your masters really could leap 150 feet into the air, then why did they build stairs on their houses?"

But true...there are really, REALLY strange things out there that defy explanation...like the success of Britney Spears...

Um dude, quantum mechanics means things happening on a quantum scale. That's pretty small. Hard to fit a shaolin monk in a quark, even a little one.

How big is size?

nzric.....it does indeed...quantum mechanics state that there is a probability for things being places.....it is therefore possible for all the molecules in a human being 2move in unison to a diff place instantaneously....though that probability is rather small i must say.............

Yeh but then again i could stand opposite a wall and then the likely hood of me appearing on the otherside would increase. BUt would on;y become a bit likely after thousands of times the age of the known universe.

Acording to quantum theory;)
