Haydn Foster and Henry Ellis remind me of my former teacher and Ken Williams of the Ki Federation. Just something about the way they move.

Haydn Foster and Henry Ellis remind me of my former teacher and Ken Williams of the Ki Federation. Just something about the way they move.That's because they [Foster, Ellis and Williams] were all direct students of Abbe Kenshiro Sensei.

I know but the similarity is really striking. Especially when you consider that by the time I started Aikido Williams had gone down such a different path to the others. Even the Ki Aikido he was teaching was deviation from what Tohei was teaching.

It just made me think of when I first started Aikido and the things I was oblivious to then which are so obvious now. I would have expected a bigger difference. But then again, I see the same thing with my own former teacher and some of his more experienced students.
