Hi I have been training regularly in the gym for a while now but seem to have hit a plateau in my training.

I have heard a lot about this 5 x5 core routine but cannot find much about it.

CAn anyone help.

Thanks

I think this is the one (http://www.geocities.com/elitemadcow1/table_of_contents_thread.htm) you mean.

Sekibugei, 5x5 is a training program that uses 5 sets of 5 reps, three days a week, rotating the weights used. It's great for beginners and intermediate lifters, advanced trainers might find true, old school 5x5 boring and not very productive.

This is a good review (http://sfuk.tripod.com/reviews/strong_survive.html) of the book, The Strongest Shall Survive by Bill Starr, where the program was originally outlined.
